I didn't knew i can do that!!!

It was dark and silent, the clock showed 2:13 AM. I felt sleepy but something was wrong about that day. I couldn't find sleep in my eyes, i kept staring at the ceiling wondering how that happened and then i realised the intesity of my mistake......i had lost a friend that day (not dead huh!).

For the first time in my life i felt sad and unhappy otherwise life has always been good to me. I wanted to tell this to someone (kehte hai na dard baantne se halka hota hai) but to whom??

I picked up the pen stared at the blank paper for a while and then it happened.....my emotions flowing out from the pen...and that was the day i wrote my first poem. Once i had finished, i was pretty content with my effort and said to myself "Wow!! I didn't knew i can do that!"

I'll like to share that poem that i had written almost 5 years back. here it goes...............

Piya hai maine gham ka jaam paimana todkar,
Us chehre ki yaad mein, jise dekha tha humne tutey shishey jodkar.

Tut gaye woh rishtey,
Jise banaya tha humne kachhey dhage jodkar.

Bikhar gaye woh moti,
Jise baandha tha apni umeedo se pirodkar.

Chale gaye aap hume is beech bhavar mein chhodkar,
Lo main ab bhatak raha hu har mod mod par.

Yeh haal is dil ka aisa na tha,
Yeh haal is dil ka aisa tab se hai,
Gaye ho tum jabse is dil ko todkar!!


I know you must be laughing after reading these lines (and at me as well) to be really honest i felt relaxed and went to sleep forgetting everything what had happened in the day before, to open my eyes for a brand new day and new begining.
